Serotine
Bats
The
Serotine bat Eptesicus
serotinus is becoming quite scarce. It is a shy
bat, usually occupying a corner of a warm roof space. As one
of the UK's largest bats, its stronghold is in the south east
of England.
This
colony was discovered when alterations to a roof were being
carried out. Subsequently, provisions for the bats were incorporated
into the new design.
